Dr. Lockwood Welcomes You to Better Health

You've got only one spine. What will you do when your spine wears out. Take great care of it with supportive chiropractic care. Dr. Lockwood has been serving patients in the Eastside and the surrounding communities since 1992. We offer chiropractic care, nutritional counseling, with massage therapy, physio-therapy, foot reflexology, and acupressure in our adjoining office. Our services help patients recover and rehabilitate from pain resulting from an injury or just that nagging, recurrent pain due to poor work ergonomics. We provide treatments for neck pain and back pain, as well as personal or accident injuries.

Misalignments in the spine or extremities are often the cause of pain in other parts of the body. For example, a herniated disc might be pressing on the sciatic nerve causing pain in the lower back and upper legs. Other misalignments might cause headaches and migraines, or fatigue. Spinal models are used to show how our treatment protocol can help you return to a normal lifestyle.

Dr. Lockwood Stays on the Cutting Edge

On your first visit, Dr. Lockwood will perform a thorough examination and evaluation. His goal for you is short term care. Once he has determined the cause of pain, Dr. Lockwood will develop an individualized treatment plan. You will receive a set schedule of care that spans weeks, not months, in most cases. Follow-up maintenance visits help to keep you pain free. Dr. Lockwood also educates patients about chiropractic care to improve overall wellness, and to help prevent future injuries. If Dr. Lockwood can't help you, he will direct you to the right provider.

Before any care begins, Dr. Lockwood will "walk you through" the process of adjustments. This helps to relieve anxiety for first time chiropractic patients. Nothing is done without your permission.

Pain Relief for Personal, Work, and Motor Vehicle Injuries

Depending on your management needs for acute or chronic pain, Dr. Lockwood uses chiropractic techniques such as spinal manipulations to realign the spinal column, loosen stiff joints and muscles, and revitalize damaged tissues. In some cases Dr. Lockwood will recommend the use of Leander Flexion-Distraction to alleviate disc pressure. Leander Flexion-Distraction is a non-surgical therapy which works by applying controlled mechanical traction to your spine. It gently stretches injured discs apart, producing a vacuum-like effect inside the disc which draws the herniation back into place. The vacuum also draws in oxygen and other healing nutrients leading to improved disc health.

Other Therapeutic Services

We complement chiropractic care with massage therapy to restore and revitalize damaged muscles and tissues and acupressure to remove any blockages to the healthy flow of healing energy throughout the body. Physio-therapy options include other forms of traction, heat and cold therapy, and rehabilitative core strengthening exercises. Dr. Lockwood will also provide nutritional counseling and lifestyle advice to help keep you on the healthy track. Lockwood Chiropractic Clinic and Bel-Red Massage Center strive to provide gentle care that yields long-lasting results.

Reviews By Our Satisfied Patients

  • "I was very impressed with the chiropractic care I received from Dr. Anderson. I had received chiropractic in the past for my neck pain, but not to this level of care. After only a few sessions, my symptoms began to disappear, especially my neck pain, and I know I would not have been able to perform to my everyday work functions without the treatment I received."
    Neck Pain
  • "I have benefitted tremendously from the chiropractic care I received from Dr. Anderson. Not only has the adjustments helped alleviate my stiffness and aches, but it has helped me have more energy and just feel more balanced over all. A few months ago, I was able to resume a favorite hobby of mine: golf. Due to my previous pain, I never thought that’d be possible."
    Back Pain
  • "Dr. Anderson has allowed me to be headache free for quite some time now. I used to have daily nagging headaches that often would turn into a migraine leaving me unable to function. For the longest time, I thought I could just keep taking medication to have the pain subside."
